About

Cheerful Dragonfly, formally Lavender and Lace, has been a staple for over 37 years in Mantua, run by Gary Reed and his family. Now that gavel has been passed to Dawn Hill- Hoffman who has a vision and passion for designing flower arrangements, gifts and baskets to our community. Dawn has been designing flowers for 35 years, while working a career and raising her family.

Cheerful Dragonfly Building's History

The building itself has been in Mantua since the 1800's, originally owned by Job Scott, who ran a coal store, grocery store, water tower etc. Later owned by the Layton Family, and finally converted to a Victorian Tea Room, Flower and Gift Shop in 1988 by Gary Reed.

My goal is to keep the heritage and history of the building, being a new flare of gardens, flowers and gifts to Mantua, and our neighbors.

What's Cheerful Dragonfly's Mission?

I want to bring a smile to my customers, while delivering fresh flowers, baskets, and gifts to celebrate life, for all the ups and downs that are associated with our busy and daily lives.

Besides Flowers, Gift Baskets, Corporate Gifts and Baskets, I will be holding events and hosting groups, to show them how they can make flower arrangements, and helping them create memories.
